My name is Cat Blyth and I am a yoga teacher and well-being coach based in the Lake District.

The Love Yoga, Love Life philosophy of Barefoot Yoga is a celebration of life through yoga, nature, mindfulness, meditation, connection and community.

It is an invitation to step back from the busy and the hectic, the fast path, and to slow down and breathe on the slow, leafy, ever evolving path to peace and contentment. Read more.

Yoga Classes

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, all in-person classes have been cancelled for the foreseeable future.

However, I am offering a weekly Zoom class on Thursdays at 7pm, so that you can practice from the comfort of your own home. These classes are currently running on a donation basis and last approximately an hour.

Tips for getting the most of of your Zoom session:

  • Create the cosiest vibe possible. Think cosy blankets, mugs of hot chocolate and soft light
  • Light some candles
  • Open the session and immediately lie down and get super comfortable
  • Let me do all the rest

You can also visit the ‘Barefoot Yoga Kendal’ YouTube channel where you will find yoga flows and meditations.

If you are a Facebook user, hop on over and join us at the Wellbeing group. Here you will find a supportive space offering meditations, essential oil information, breathing exercises, music, poetry and tons of wellbeing tips and inspirations. You are so welcome. Follow the link below;

I am already planning a number of workshops and events for when we are able to meet again in person. These will include, Nourish Your Soul workshops, Forest Bathing and Essential Oils and Yoga. I am collaborating with some super exciting people who are experts in their field and have a fantastic new outdoor space, immersed deeply in nature, where we can gather and grow.

Join us for one of Barefoot Yoga’s mini retreat days, true nourishment for your soul.

These days offer an opportunity to experience a deeper yoga practice, a delicious shared, vegetarian lunch with cakes made by a wonderful, young local baker, LillaVanilla, time to chill out, read by the fire, wander along the river or chat to other yogis. You will enjoy a long, immersive relaxation and end the day with Epilogue, a time of self-reflection in a candlelit practice originating in the Quaker tradition.

Please get in touch if you would like to book a place on the next Nourish day, or, if you would like more information. You can message me via Facebook or email me at cat.barefootyoga@gmail.com

Read what one participant had to say;

‘I have been to 4 of Cat’s yoga Nourish Days and have loved every one of them. It is difficult to take this time and drag ourselves away from our busy lives and the people that need us but the result is a calmer, fresher, inspired, energised, less achy version of ourselves ready to face the world with a new strength and perspective. It’s wonderful to get together in a quiet and beautiful place and have a positive, relaxing  experience with our brilliant teacher Cat.’
